Majuice, Alick Macheso’s Lead Dancer, Addresses Tardiness and Suspension

The band’s well-known singer and leader, Alick Macheso, caused a stir in the music industry recently when he suspended his longtime lead dancer, Selemani “Majuice” Mpochi, for persistent tardiness.

Well-known on Alick Macheso’s stage, Majuice acknowledged that he frequently arrived late for work, frequently around one in the morning, and blamed the tardiness on oversleeping.

The problem continued in spite of earlier management warnings, which led to a salary reduction and, eventually, his suspension.

According to Majuice, “being suspended for showing up late once seems unjust.” He expressed this viewpoint in an exclusive interview. He also disclosed that he was not allowed to appear in music videos for other musicians due to constraints placed by management.

Majuice, however, is unwavering in his devotion to Macheso’s band, Orchestra Mberikwazvo. “Our loyal fans need to understand my commitment to Macheso, even during tough times,” he said, giving fans peace of mind. He emphasized that following management’s instructions showed his commitment to the Orchestra Mberikwazvo name.

While all of this is going on, Majuice is getting ready to perform with Franco Slomo, a former dancer in Alick Macheso’s group. This partnership emerges from conversations about discipline and professionalism in the music business, which are spurred by Majuice’s suspension.

Fans look forward to Majuice’s event with  Franco Slomo’s as Independence Day draws near, at Snake Park Bite Cruise marking a new chapter in their career.

Despite recent setbacks, Majuice’s love for music and commitment to his craft continue to shine, resonating with audiences and keeping the pulse of the music world alive.
