In Harare, law enforcement officials have apprehended an individual posing as a gynecologist at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
Andrew Mapulanga, aged 52, was brought before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi to face charges of possessing items intended for criminal use.
The incident occurred last Thursday, and Mapulanga was remanded in custody until today pending a bail application.

According to prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi, on April 15 of this year, Mapulanga entered Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals wearing a stethoscope around his neck, wandering the hospital corridors.
Julia Shambare, a vigilant security officer, became suspicious of his actions, prompting her to notify her colleague Alexander Munera.
Munera subsequently apprehended Mapulanga and escorted him to ZRP Parirenyatwa Post, where a search revealed he was carrying a stethoscope, a business card identifying him as a gynecologist, and a photocopy of Charity Mungofa’s Ordinary Level certificate.
A 52-year-old was arrested last week for masquerading as a gynaecologist at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in Harare.
The accused, Andrew Mapulanga appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi following his arrest on Thursday.
He is facing a charge of possession of articles for criminal use and he was remanded in custody to this Monday for bail application.
