    CITY CLEARS PATHS , ILLEGAL BILLBOARD TARGETED

    Harare’s city administration has initiated a comprehensive effort to eliminate unauthorized billboard from its thoroughfares.

    In an official announcement, the City has called upon business owners and residents to promptly dismantle any billboard unlawfully erected.

    “The crackdown will result in fines for those who have set up billboards without proper authorization,” the Council stated.

    “All billboards that have not been paid for are considered illegal and will be removed.

    “Additionally, wall murals lacking Council approval will be subject to removal.”

    Certain residents of Harare have lauded the Council’s planned removal of neglected billboards, encouraging further action to enhance the city’s appearance.

    “The initiative to remove old, neglected billboards is commendable, and with collective effort from citizens, we can start revitalizing our city,” expressed Nanette Allmark, a resident.

    “Just envision if every household and business took responsibility for maintaining the areas in front of their properties.

    “It’s crucial for residents to take pride in their nation and capital, putting an end to littering and vandalism.”

    Another resident, Matthew Kunyeda, remarked:

    “The removal of neglected billboards has been long overdue. The municipal authority should extend this effort to eliminate unnecessary street advertisements from all roadways.

    “The removal of the unmaintained billboards was long overdue. The local authority should also remove all unnecessary street advertising from all the roads. 

    “Council should be making money through advertising.”

    “The Council could generate revenue through strategic advertising initiatives.”
