Two brand-new cars have been supplied to the city’s traffic department by City Parking, a division of Harare City Council, to be used in the enforcement of local ordinances.
City Parking hands over 2 patrol vehicles to council
These police cars are the first in a planned fleet acquisition strategy that will see many additional vehicles purchased and dispersed across the city. The intention is to guarantee that every ward has a minimum of three of these cars.

Vice chairman of municipal Parking, Mr. Thamsanqa Dangazela, thanked the municipal administration for entrusting them with running the parking operations of the city at the handover ceremony at Rufaro Stadium in Mbare.
“This is an epoch making event. A wonderful and gigantic moment for us as City Parking, as we have this opportunity to present these vehicles to the city of Harare.
“We were asked to do this, and we are privileged to inform you that today, we are here with what was asked from us,” he said.
Harare City Council chief traffic officer Mr Martin Chimombe promised to make excellent use of the vehicles.
