Businessman Ronald Nyandoro’s lawyer, Mr. Admire Rubaya, has notified the State of his intention to file for discharge after the State concluded its case.
This follows the testimony of the State’s final witness, Mr. Lance Malloch Brown, who testified that he had no knowledge of any dealings between James Landon and Nyandoro. During cross-examination, Mr. Brown denied any awareness of an agreement between Landon and Nyandoro and stated that he did not know who held the original registration book.
The case has been deferred to June 5, when the magistrate is expected to deliver a ruling. Nyandoro is facing allegations of stealing a motor vehicle.

At a previous hearing, the complainant, Landon, abruptly left the courtroom during Kirk Woest’s testimony after Woest accused him of sending police to his house.
In the same session, the first State witness, Mr. Woest, testified that he believed Landon was using the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) to retaliate against him for revealing the details of the vehicle deal. Mr. Woest claimed that Landon was punishing him for disclosing what had transpired during the transaction.
Mr. Woest also mentioned that he had lost two cars, which were confiscated by ZACC, alleging that their paperwork was not in order. He recounted a conversation with both Nyandoro and Landon, in which they agreed that the vehicle was for sale. He explained that he bought the car under that agreement.
