Kimton Sibanda, a 40-year-old domestic servant at Bilas Farm in Bulawayo, entered a guilty plea to charges of bestiality ( having s*xual intercourse with a donkey)and was subsequently ordered by a magistrate to complete 350 hours of community service.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) states that, on March 26, 2024, two witnesses witnessed Sibanda engaging in s*xual activity with a donkey within his employer’s cattle kraal.
Sibanda was caught in the act of having s*xual intercourse with a donkey by two witnesses inside his employer’s cattle kraal.

The two witnesses reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of the accused person. The culprit was taken into custody after the two witnesses informed the police about the situation.
Sibanda was given a completely suspended 10-month prison sentence after entering a guilty plea to the charges. He was given a 350-hour community service mandate.
Any person who knowingly commits any sexual act with an animal or bird shall be guilty of bestiality and liable to a fine up to or exceeding level fourteen or imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year or both.
